As a technical medium derived from the metals and minerals extracted from the earth, every moving image is materially embedded in the world it records.» A masterclass with artist, filmmaker and writer Sasha Litvintseva, whose work is situated on the uncertain thresholds of the perceptible and the communicable, organism and environment, and knowledge regimes and power, at the intersection of media, ecology and the history of science. The event will include the screening of her films, Salarium (2017) and Asbestos (2016).
