The short film event will take place on November 14th (doors 19:00, screening 19:30) at Kino in der Reitschule in Bern. We are particularly happy about submissions by new and first-time filmmakers, autodidacts, students or non-students, anthropologists and experimental enthusiasts. Non-governmental organisations (NGOs) are working on the world's deadliest migration route across the Mediterranean to rescue people whose lives are in danger. A short animation, created in collaboration with SOS Méditerranée Switzerland, introduces the public to a topic that is unknown to many.

How does an asylum process affect the individual undergoing it, and those around them? Fams and Kelly have fallen in love in the beginning of Fams’ asylum process – in this film, they share their story through video diary and audio clips, combined with material from the film crew.
